Evansville Bicycle + Pedestrian Connectivity Master Plan

Evansville, Indiana

The master plan was completed in 2015 and outlines nearly 170 miles of bicycle and pedestrian improvements in the City of Evansville. Plan development began with an extensive public outreach effort, leading the way for the network improvements. Recommended phasing, estimated project costs, policy-level recommendations, a set of Top 10 Priority Projects, and early action steps.  The Evansville Metropolitan Planning Organization was the client and the project budget was $180,000.  The planning process initiated in April of 2014 and was completed in the fall of 2015. The focus of the master plan was on-street facilities that truly connected the City’s two universities, residential areas to downtown and regional commercial areas.
