NorthWest Arkansas Regional Bicycle + Pedestrian Master Plan
The purpose of the Plan was to build upon previous regional bicycle and pedestrian initiatives, including the 36-mile Razorback Regional Greenway, in setting a clear path for NW Arkansas to link its communities and regional destinations with a world-class active transportation network. The Plan defined a regional network of bicycle and pedestrian on-road and off-road active transportation facilities and routes within 32 communities of NW Arkansas in Benton and Washington Counties. The planning team led a comprehensive regional public outreach campaign that defined the goals and objectives of the citizens. The plan also included 25 “mini bicycle & pedestrians plans in communities with a populations of over 1,000. Dennis Blind managed this project prior to founding ACTIVE Planning + Design.
